Council Club Holds Easter Egg Hunt

Council Kiwanis Club held their annual Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, April 17 with over 300 in attendance providing 165 candy-filled Easter bags and 1,500 candy-filled eggs for children and 100 money-filled eggs donated by Tiller Town Freewill Baptist Church. Southern Youth in Action Diabetic Educator Pam Hinkle supplied jump ropes to everyone and diabetes information. Donators included Buchanan Co. Board of Supervisors; TruPoint Bank and New Peoples Bank donating two $50 savings bonds; BB & T Bank donating one $50 savings bond given out in random children drawing; Pizza Plus donated 200 candy-filled eggs and six pizza coupons for a parents drawing.
TruPoint Bank representative & Kiwanian Kathy Jackson presented Tres Church and Morgan Bailey each $50 savings bonds with Kiwanian & Co. Supervisor Wm. P Harris.
New Peoples Bank representative & Kiwanian Janet Bostic presented Tylar Lockhart and Miley Matney each $50 savings bonds with Kiwanian & Co. Supervisor Wm. P Harris.
Council Kiwanis President Kyle Ratliff and Kiwanian & Co. Supervisor Wm. P. Harris presented Kendal Compton a $50 savings bond from B B & T Bank.
Council High School Key Club members assisted the Council Kiwanis Club with their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 17.
They hid 1,600 Easter eggs and distributed Easter treat bags filled with candy & toys to every child in attendance.
