CHANGES to the Capital District History Web Site
by John Fox, District Historian, District History Web Manager
Your Capital District History web site is alive and well. For many who access the site from the District's home page, Kiwanis Links, all will seem the same. However, if you bookmarked a page, you need to change the URL (domain) address, because it has changed to http://history.capitaldistrictkiwanis.org/
So why should I be interested in history?
- For the club having a birthday visit your club's history page. Start with Clubs or track it by the Club Key Number.
- Ever wonder who in your division was a Lt. Governor, visit your Division and click on District Officers.
- You want to build a club in another community, visit Clubs and discover how many past Kiwanis clubs were there before.
- Interested in the genealogy of your club, visit Sponsors, under the Links page.
- Ever wonder who were the past Governors, Secretaries, Trustees, Foundation Presidents? Visit the Links page for more answers. You will also find the locations for District and International conventions.
- Do you know how long your club secretary has been serving your club? Click on Club Secretaries in the Links page.
- You won't find this in the Kiwanis International web page - what International club was organized the same time as my club? Click on Kiwanis
International Clubs found in the Links page. All Kiwanis clubs from 1915 to 2004 are listed.
- How well do you know your Club, Division, Region, Leadership, People?
