Virginia
Beach Town Center Club
by Nancy Pindur
The Kiwanis Club of Virginia Beach Town Center had another active month. Several of our members attended the Mid-Winter Kiwanis Conference at Old Dominion University and attended the workshops and sessions offered by our district. March is traditionally our month to sponsor our annual membership meeting where we offer a look at the state of Town Center and the business district. We had almost 100 members and guests in attendance. Volunteers read to children in the REACH program, our Circle K group had a silent auction fund raiser to help with their trip to the national convention later this year. Our social outing this month was to the Silver Diner restaurant for an enjoyable dinner at one of our sponsors for our fund raisers. We enjoy the evening and we give back a little as well. Our Golf Tournament committee is gearing up for our May event and plans are beginning to get in place. We also have plans for a social and golf weekend in Nags Head at the homes of Jerry Collier, who generously makes them available to us for this favorite event in April.
