Churchland Club Holds Pankcake Breakfast at Applebees!

On the morning of Saturday, February 28, the Churchland Kiwanis Club held a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's. Over twenty of our members as well as a group of our Key Clubbers members began arriving at 7:00am to help with the 'prep' work, which included scooping butter and pouring maple syrup into small serving dishes, getting the coffee ready and working with the Applebee's staff to get the pancake batter and sausages ready to cook. At 8:00am the first patrons began arriving - and they kept coming right up until the cut-off at 10:00am. Tickets to the breakfast were sold for $5 each and included three large pancakes, two links of sausage and a choice of beverages. The club was allowed to keep a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold and as a result we raised over $1,000.
